Toddler Primal Packed Lunch

Recently I have enrolled my two-year-old in an awesome daycare. This day care is pretty much like a pre-preschool. While thumbing through the packet of information I did read that we would be required to pack his lunch. I didn't see this as a bad thing I would be able to control my son's eating habits while at school.
This is what I packed for his first day of school.
Grass fed meat cut up hotdog,Organic strawberries, Half a Lara bar, And
No it's not completely primal green beans. In the bag are some kale chips.

This is a quick and easy lunch to pack the night before.

Take Care of That Icky Sponge

If you are like me and are constantly in fear of harmful bacteria around your food or food utensils then do I have a quick tip for you!!!

I am forever buying sponges for my kitchen. These little jerks turn funny colors and smell so quick it drives me insane. I figured there has to be a way to keep these things living longer. After some research I found the solution! The microwave!! Of course, it seems so obvious, I mean I did sanitize my sons bottles in there.

So here's a little view at my current sponge. The left is a new and clean sponge, the right is a 1.5 week old used sponge...

gross right??

So after wetting this sponge place it in a bowl for its radiation bath.
I zapped it for 2 minutes. Then after LETTING IT COOL, I ran it under water and flushed the sponge. I then placed it bath into the bowl for another 2 minutes.

After seeing lots of black crud come out, this is the final product.

ok so the color didnt change much... but it did clean it out and killed the bacteria.
